On September 19th, beekeeper Jorg Kewisch, a member of the LI Bee Keepers Club, gave a fascinating 1-hour presentation on the importance of bees to our ecosystem. The LI Bee Keepers Club provides education and assistance to beginning beekeepers and serves in the community as experts in beekeeping. Their members also include many Master Beekeepers who are certified beekeepers that have very detailed knowledge of honey bee biology, are experts in the proper practices of beekeeping, and can educate beekeepers and non-beekeepers alike.
