COVID-19 Status Update

Dear Residents and Family Members,

I am writing to update you on the COVID-19 status in our building.

Thankfully, I can continue to report no suspected or confirmed cases of COVID-19 among our resident population.

On the staff side, we have not fared quite as well. We have received several more positive employee test results since my last correspondence to you, including a positive result that was received this morning. The positive employees are all asymptomatic and have been removed from the schedule per protocol.

Unfortunately, as you are aware, the most recent positive test pushes back our date to reopen to outside visitation. The earliest date we may be able to reopen is now August 26th.

As we see the outbreak spiking throughout the country, and even to some degree in our own backyards, it is clear we are far from over with this pandemic. As we go forward, I suspect that additional positive results will be found in employees, including some of our own. Unfortunately that would continue to move the reopen date out further.

Rest assured however, we will continue our strict diligence and superior infection control processes to do our best to continue to keep our residents safe and free from this terrible virus.

Again, we are grateful for your support and understanding throughout this challenging time.
