Keeping Our Residents Safe

At San Simeon, our top priority is ensuring the health and safety of all our residents. And in order to protect their well-being, along with the well-being of our staff and visitors, we developed a Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan. Adhering to the guidelines set by the NYS Department of Health, this plan keeps us prepared to deal with any unforeseen future events.

The Four Phases of Emergency Management

  • Preparedness (preparation to address an emergency)
  • Response (responding efficiently and safely to an emergency)
  • Recovery (recovering in the short, intermediate, and long-term from an emergency)
  • Mitigation (prevention of anticipated emergencies or minimizing their impact)
