Dear San Simeon Community Member,

I am very pleased to report that as of October 1st, San Simeon by the Sound Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation has become a Preferred Provider for the Stony Brook Post-Acute Care Network.

The network is a provider group that improves communication and coordinates health care resources to ensure the best possible outcomes for enrolled patients. As a preferred provider, San Simeon clinical staff will be able to share information with Stony Brook medical staff and other network providers to ensure the patients receive the best, most comprehensive and properly skilled care they require.

We look forward to working with SUNY Eastern Long Island Hospital, Southampton Hospital and Stony Brook Hospital as a preferred care network provider, and the improved care and services the affiliation will create.

This week we celebrated Tina and Leroy Barnes’ 75th wedding anniversary. The San Simeon staff surprised them with a handmade card, their family had their favorite foods specially delivered, and Keith Hart regaled the couple with live music!
