Tuesday, August 10th COVID-19 Update

Dear Residents and Family Members,

Out of an abundance of caution we have decided to modify our visitation policy. Effective Wednesday, August 11, 2021 we are suspending visitation on the resident units and will have visitation occur in daycare common area, or daycare outdoor area, weather permitting. Therefore, please report to the main entrance prior to your appointment time for health clearance, and you will then be directed down to the daycare entrance for your visit.

We realize this additional restriction may be unpleasant, however in the past week alone we had one employee test positive and one visitor also who tested positive for COVID. Combined with the alarmingly fast pace the Suffolk County COVID-19 positivity rate is increasing (currently at 4%), we believe this is the prudent move to make to ensure the safety of our residents. There are no additional changes to our current visitation policy at this time.

We sincerely hope no further restrictions are necessary but realize there is nothing more important than ensuring the safety of those entrusted to our care. To that end we will take all reasonable actions to increase our chances at success.

Thank you in advance for your understanding and support.
